According to Webster's dictionary, faith is defined as "an unquestioning belief or complete trust and confidence" in something. Faith is complete trust in yourself and your ability to reach your strength and conditioning goals. This also encompasses trust in the things around you such as your friends, family, training partner, trainer, and your environment.
Why is faith so critical, even for getting in the best shape of your life? Because it allows you to move forward through impossible situations and accomplish your fitness goals. Being that we all are human beings, chances are in our lives we will experience good and bad times, challenges and adversity, not to mention temptations. It is during these times when our faith can help us overcome these difficult days and stay on course.
When these difficult situations interrupt our lives, there is truly only one solution: To keep our faith strong in responding to life's trials and following practical courses of action.
Here is a practical illustration that can help you keep proper perspective on your fitness goals. When you think of a shadow, how do you picture it? Is it a hazy picture, a mere outline of something that is coming? If you come around a corner and see someone's shadow, for a moment you can be certain that a person will soon appear.
Similarly, when you are training, you must keep a visual image of every conceivable detail of what you want to look like in your mind before it appears. When you are working certain muscle groups and focusing on them, no matter how big or small they may be, you must visualize the final form you desire as you exercise. Then, you can transform yourself into this image by staying true to your belief and following the principles for success. With that dedication and determination, just like the shadow coming around the corner, the new "you" will soon appear!
By applying faith into your workouts, you will continue to grow closer and closer to what you want to become. With that unquestioning belief and having complete trust and confidence in your ability, your chances of success are guaranteed! Our faith can help provide instruction. It can help empower you to live a life of confidence, peace, and joy with a body sculpted and designed to your image of perfection.
I guess the most important question you should ask yourself is: Have you already made that change? If not, are you ready to make that change? If your answer is yes, then keep the faith and do what you know must be done to reach your personal fitness, strength, and conditioning goals. No matter how long it takes, if you keep the faith, your new body will soon appear!
Never give up because There's Always a Way!
