The Kevin Saunders Story Wins 2 Telly® Awards!

Our short film, Finding the Champion Within – The Kevin Saunders Story, was just recognized with two awards in the 36th Annual Telly^® Awards. We were awarded the Silver Telly (the highest honor) for “Documentary Film” and the Bronze Award for Cinematography. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

OUR AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY

This film takes viewers on Kevin’s journey from tragedy to triumph, surviving a catastrophic grain elevator explosion and going on to thrive as a world-class athlete, speaker and motivational coach. It reminds us that our lives are not the product of “what happens to us.” Instead, we can make a deep commitment to follow our dreams and “Never Give Up!” in pursuing our goals.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents.

Kevin’s incredible story was brought to life onscreen by filmmakers David Kaufman and James Rico of InFocus Productions, who captured some amazing footage and worked hard to deliver an outstanding film. Our special thanks also go out to Adrian Arroyos of Catalyst Studio, Inc., whose guidance as Editorial Consultant and Graphic Designer were pivotal in helping to tell Kevin’s story. And of course, we owe a great deal of gratitude to Dora Saunders, for helping to facilitate and manage the project. We are also grateful for the contributions of Kansas State Head Coach Bill Snyder, the Coaching Staff and football players, as well as the Wildcats coaching video services team for footage made available to this production.
