As the New Year starts, we all start thinking about what we want to accomplish this year. For some of us those thoughts might center around changing habits, starting a new job, or buying a new car or home. Whether you’re planning to achieve big or small goals, it’s going to be up to you to see it through.
I started out this New Year with a shock I never expected. I lost my best friend since Kindergarten, Jack Myers. Jack was like a brother to me. It awakened me to the realization that life is truly a gift and that we should never take it for granted – through good times or bad. I will miss my weekly phone calls with Jack, and plan to share more about him soon.

So please, remember to count your blessings. I urge you all to take time to visit your elderly mother, the sick neighbor, spend time with your children, grandchildren, family and friends. Most of us think to ourselves, “I’ll have plenty of time to catch up later, when I’m not so busy.”

You should know by now that we will ALWAYS be busy. We will always find things that keep our focus off the most important things in life: family, friends, and helping those who are less fortunate.
Volunteer your time to help others in your life, or in your community. Giving and helping others should be a priority, as it’s in giving that we feel true happiness and feel blessed.
I wish you all a blessed 2020. May God grant you all a happy and healthy year.

Thank you Kevin, you are a true inspiration!!
Very true … as you know any life can change or end in the blink of an eye. Every moment is precious and yet it is a challenge to stay present and live each moment.
